This position coordinates job site responsibilities, makes decisions and ensures proper communication to supervisors, customers, and colleagues.Responsibilities include: work on computer systems read volt meters and technical writings design, install, operate, and maintain complex systems work with the fire marshal to conduct fire alarms inspections order supplies and maintain inventory records ensure safety prepare cost estimates on projects associated with Energy Management Systems (self-contained emergency lights, intercom systems, etc.) assist with designs and modifications for expansion and renovation projects prepare cost estimates maintain technical drawings follow-up with customers to ensure customer satisfaction collaborate with customers, department, and shops across the UniversityThis individual must be available for emergency call-backs, work overtime as needed, and take on responsibilities as assigned. This position may also require some shift work.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesInstallation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems. Knowledge of circuit theories. Ability to communicate effectively with others. High attention to detail.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
