To learn more,clickHOURS: Flexibility in schedule is required for day, night orweekend classes as needed. MINIMUM PAY RATE: $45.00 per class hourcontracted, with potential for a higher rate depending on customerdemand. ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS Responsible for planning, preparing, and deliveringinstruction and assessment of learning outcomes. Utilize engaginginstructional strategies and methodologies which foster student successboth in and outside of the classroom. Maintain accurate student recordsand communication. Advise and support students as a mentor and rolemodel in the achievement of their learning and career goals. Provideeducational leadership and work effectively with faculty,administration, and campus support staff. Comply with College policiesand practices related to instruction, assessment, and delivery.Additional duties and responsibilities will be discussed as needs arise.Additional Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver OSHA 10-hour, 30-hour,and 500 Level Outreach Training Programs for construction and/or generalindustry. Develop and customize training content for specificconstruction environments (e.g., residential, commercial, industrial)using OSHA standards and adult learning principles. Conduct engagingclassroom sessions using visual aids, handouts, and interactivetechniques. Evaluate trainee performance and issue official Departmentof Labor OSHA cards. Stay current with OSHA regulations and Industrybest practices by participating in required refresher courses. Adaptinstructional methods and classroom style based on participant feedbackand training evaluations to enhance learning outcomes. Collaborate withinternal and external stakeholders to identify training needs. OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAND WORK EXPERIENCE OSHA Authorized Trainer certification i Construction and/or General Industry is preferred. Candidates who arenot currently certified must meet the minimum eligibility requirementsfor OSHA Authorized Trainer certification prior to hire and must bewilling to successfully obtain certification within 6 months through theNational Safety Education Center. Minimum eligibility requirements forcertification include: Five (5) years of occupational safety and healthexperience in general and/or construction industry, Three (3) years ofoccupational safety and health experience in general and/or constructionindustry plus one of the following: A college degree in OccupationalSafety and Health Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designationCertified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation Certified for TrainerCourses by the National Safety Education Center or National SafetyCouncil Experience delivering safety training, ideally OSHA 10-Hour or30-Hour courses in General Industry or Construction. Stronginstructional and presentation skills, with the ability to engagediverse audiences. Commitment to promoting workplace safety andregulatory compliance. Microsoft Office Suite, Canvas, DatabaseManagement System (Workday preferred) An equivalent combination ofwork experience and education may be considered. PreferredQualifications: Previous teaching experience with adult learners ispreferred Skills and Abilities: Student Success: Demonstrate behaviorsand actions that support student recruitment, retention, and studentsuccess initiatives. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Mobility: Ability to move around the campusto attend meetings and events. In addition, must be able to work in, on,around, over and under fixed equipment and machinery. May be required towork from lifts, ladders, and scaffolding. Manual Dexterity: Proficiencyin using hands and fingers to handle or operate office equipment, tools,controls, and/or heavy equipment and machinery. Capability to push,pull, and/or maneuver equipment as needed. PPE: To wear and work inpersonnel protective equipment as needed. Heavy Lifting: Capability tolift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100pounds with assistance. Visual and Auditory: Ability to read documentsand communicate effectively with students and staff.
