Position Summary The Market President provides strategic leadership, business development, and operational oversight for the bank within an assigned geographic market. This executive role is responsible for driving profitable growth by expanding the bank’s commercial, consumer, and deposit relationships while maintaining the highest standards of credit quality, compliance, and customer service. The Market President serves as the face of the bank in the local community--building relationships with businesses, civic leaders, and customers to strengthen the bank’s reputation and market presence. In collaboration with executive leadership, this position ensures that the market’s operations align with the bank’s mission, strategic goals, and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of integrity, performance, and community engagement. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in banking & 5 years in a leadership or market management role Demonstrated success in business development, commercial lending, and community engagement. Strong understanding of bank operations, financial statements, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Established network and reputation within the assigned market area. Strong computer and system navigation skills. Key Responsibilities Provide leadership for local lending, & deposit growth. Develop and implement business strategies to expand the bank’s presence, profitability, and market share. Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective commercial and retail customers. Serve as the primary commercial lender for the market, originating and managing loan relationships. I dentify opportunities for new products, partnerships, or service delivery improvements. Oversee local compliance with all regulatory and bank policies, ensuring adherence to risk management and safety and soundness standards. Collaborate with executive management and department heads to align local initiatives with bank-wide strategy. Prepare market reports, forecasts, and performance summaries for executive leadership and the Board. Serve as an ambassador for the bank’s values, reinforcing a culture of excellence, innovation, and team-development. Recruit, develop, and mentor market-level staff, promoting engagement and accountability. Competencies Strategic thinker with strong business acumen. Inspires trust, collaboration, and excellence across teams General Requirements Must be able to lift and carry up to 10 pounds. Some travel to branch or offsite locations may be required. Ability to sit, stand, and operate a computer for extended periods of time. Must comply with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. Demonstrate confidentiality, integrity, and sound judgment in all interactions. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as business needs dictate.
