Flight Test Engineer (Lead or Senior)Company:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Organization has a need for Flight Test Engineers in Berkeley, MO to support Air Dominance flight test programs, including F-15 international (Qatar, Saudi, Korea, Japan, Israel, Singapore) and future programs.The successful candidate will provide leadership through coordination of the Flight Test Work Statement with the various functions and support groups in the BT&E, Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), and customer organizations (including Flight Operations; Flight Test Operations; Instrumentation & Data Systems - Test Software & Telemetry, System Design & Development, System Design, Installation Design, and Operations; Fabrication and Assembly). Tasks include coordination of activities leading to the successful execution of a flight test program, such as coordinating program flight test requirements, coordinating data requirements, supporting the manufacturing and modification of a test vehicle, overseeing the planning of the flight test program, ensuring the preparation of the test team, and interfacing with the customer.This position is primarily for 1st shift; however, various shifts, nights, weekends and alternate shifts may be required to meet program objectives.Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Lead or Senior Level Flight Test Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Plan and coordinate flight test mission requirements with responsible engineers from internal and external customersDevelop flight test and mission profiles, develop and publish test plans, create flight test cards, and manage test schedulesIdentify and coordinate the availability of test ranges and facilities with company and government agenciesEstablish test planning working groups, plan and conduct flight test readiness reviews, and conduct pre and posttest briefingsConduct ground and flight tests in accordance with established test plans and proceduresParticipate in post-test data evaluation and problem identification and resolutionPrepare and publish test summaries and test reportsSupport Cost Account Manager (CAM) activitiesLead and prepare for remote site deploymentsDevelop and document standardized test methods and processes to ensure repeatability and productivityApply lessons learned to the improvement of test proceduresOversee preflight and post-test briefings with the flight test teamFormulate expectations for test data based on historical dataLead test team training, track training/currency qualifications, and mentor team membersWork under minimal directionBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement5+ years of experience working on flight test program, preferably as a flight test engineer5+ years of experience with the principles of flight test OR experience directly supporting flight test operationsExperience supporting a military flight test programCapable of travelling as required, up to 25% domestically and internationallyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceAn active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required).
