Job Description

Veterans Engineering is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Family/Internal Medicine Physician to become a vital member of our healthcare team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive primary care to patients of all ages, focusing on both preventive care and the management of chronic conditions. You will cultivate strong patient relationships and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality healthcare. This position provides the opportunity to support our veterans and their families while advancing your professional practice.ResponsibilitiesPerform comprehensive patient assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop individualized treatment plans Provide preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care, and follow-up services for patients of all agesOrder, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results Prescribe medications safely and appropriately following federal and state regulationsCoordinate care with specialists, behavioral health, care managers, and other members of the multidisciplinary teamProvide patient education on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment optionsMaintain accurate, timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)Participate in quality improvement initiatives, compliance activities, and clinical meetingsProvide culturally competent care and communicate effectively with diverse patient populationsSupport community health initiatives and outreach programs as needed. Adhere to all organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory standardsDemonstrate strong clinical judgment, professionalism, and commitment to patient safetyRequirementsMedical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institutionCompletion of clinical training (residency)2-3 years of experience requiredBoard Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal MedicineCurrent CA MD or DO licenseDEA licenseCPR/BLS certificationStrong understanding of clinical best practices and current medical protocolsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster patient relationshipsCommitment to providing compassionate healthcare to patients of all backgroundsTravel RequirementsTravel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
