Job Title: Electro-Mechanical Assembler Job Description Join our team as an Electro-Mechanical Assembler, where you will be responsible for soldering components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs). This role involves performing surface-mount technology (SMT) and thru-hole soldering, as well as the mechanical assembly of boards. You will work on 16 multi-layer boards that start heavy at 45 u2013 50 lbs and gain weight through each process. The boards are reworked on both the top and bottom, requiring you to turn and lift them. A microscope will be used periodically throughout the day, and soldering wires will also be part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities + Solder components onto printed circuit boards using SMT and thru-hole techniques. + Perform mechanical assembly of boards. + Rework multi-layer boards on both the top and bottom. + Use a microscope periodically for detailed inspection. + Solder wires, typically of a specific gauge. + Lift and turn heavy boards, up to 50 lbs. Essential Skills + 1+ years of experience in soldering components on circuit boards. + Experience with thru-hole and surface-mount soldering (SMT soldering). + Knowledge of IPC-610/J standard, either current or expired. + Ability to understand visual aids and wiring lists. + Capability to lift 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Vocational program graduates are considered. + Experience in electromechanical assembly, crimping, and wiring. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Each person has their own workbench equipped with tools. Shifts are available on the 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm and the 2nd shift from 2:45 pm to 11:15 pm, with training provided on the 1st shift or a mid-shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fridley, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
