In this role, you will serve as the Principal on large, complex projects, lead the technical development of proposals and build a local team.The position offers excellent potential for professional growth and the opportunity to collaborate not only with water resources personnel, but with our many practices including tunnelling, dams, geotechnical, energy, and transportation. The qualified candidate must have strong leadership and program management experience and direct business development experience during their career, with the ability to generate project leads, build client relationships, and win work.Responsibilities are as follows:Serve as project manager on large and complex projects with multi-discipline project teamsServe as project principal, supervising less experienced project managers on smaller less complex projectsSupervise and direct preparation of planning studies, evaluations, and feasibility studies for water, wastewater and stormwater infrastructure projectsSupervise and direct preparation of plans and specifications for new facilities and rehabilitation of existing facilitiesSupervise and direct construction engineering support services.Lead the technical development of proposalsServe as account leader responsible for creating and growing relationships with one or more clientsWe invite applications from candidates with the following experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Environmental or similar)Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Washington20+ years total experience in planning, design, and construction management of water, and wastewater infrastructure projects for major utility clientsExperience with large Washington state utilities in the Pacific NW including King County Wastewater Treatment Division (WTD), Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is preferred, but not requiredStrong technical skills and technical leadership experience, preferably including water/wastewater conveyance and/or treatment systems5+ years experience in managing multi-discipline project teams5+ years experience in managing proposals for engineering projectsExperience in managing and growing client relationships.Our teams are comprised of bright and enthusiastic people who wish to make a difference to the world that we live in.
