Sentara Careplex Hospital in Hampton, VA, is currently hiring a Full Time, Day Shift Echocardiographer for the Noninvasive Lab $10,000 Sign on Bonus Available to Qualified CandidatesHoursMonday u2013 Friday: 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm, along with call and working every 5th week - off Friday prior to weekend call, but work Sat and Sun 8a-12pm, on call from 12p-8am, and then on call Sunday from 12pm-6am.Overview An Echocardiographer, also known as a cardiac sonographer, specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions. Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. EducationGraduate of an accredited echocardiography program (Associate's or Bachelor's in Cardiovascular Technology) OR a High School Diploma along with significant experience will be considered in lieu of education, in accordance with IAC GuidelinesCertification/LicensureAdult echocardiography registry (RCCS, RCS or RDCS) within 12 months of hireACLS not required for hire but must obtain within 90 daysBLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire Talroo-Allied Health, Monster, Echocardiographer, Echo Tech, RCCS, RDCS, RCS, Cardiovascular Tech, Cardiac Sonographer, Cardiovascular Technologist
