Our West Midlands Division is looking to recruit an Assistant Architectural Technician to join the Division’s Technical team.The RoleThe role of Assistant Architectural Technician will be to support the architectural technician team and the wider business including our Construction, Commercial and Sales teams in the execution of construction projects through ongoing support and timely delivery of accurate architectural and technical information.Principle accountabilities of the role include:Work alongside senior team members to gain relevant experience in day-to-day dutiesSupport with the production of working pack drawingsSupport with the development & maintenance of divisional details and specificationsSupport the upkeep of our Drawing Management systemSupport site teams and colleagues with information requestsAttend site-based meetings / audit as and when requiredKeep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the roleMaintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as understanding future regulations that are coming into effect within the industryExperience, Qualifications and SkillsExperienceExperience of working with Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD is desirable - training could be provided where requiredPrevious housing sector experience in a technical / architectural function is desirableKnowledge of building regulations and current NHBC standardsQualifications and TrainingQualified to degree level or HNC/HND in a Construction / Architectural Technology subject with relevant experience, or working towards this statusCSCS card or equivalentCurrent full UK driving licenceSkills and AptitudeStrong communication, listening, presentation skills and excellent attention to detailAbility to be able to express basic technical information in a clear and concise mannerMethodical, conscientious, organised and works to deliver high standardsAbility to recognise problems and deal with them in a speedy and effective mannerAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamAbility to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to problem solve and delegate effectivelyProficient IT skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and outlook) and the ability to adapt to new mitted to diversity and inclusionWorking ConditionsOffice based role with regular travel to development sites and for meetingsWilling to be flexible in respect to day-to-day duties and hours workedCore hoursIn return we can offer you:Competitive salaryCompetitive annual bonusContributory pension scheme25 days holiday, plus bank holidaysAccess to discounts and benefits portalShareSave SchemeCycle to Work SchemeLife assuranceHoliday Purchase SchemeEarn and Learn OpportunitiesWe reserve the right to close this vacancy if a large volume of applications are received.
