Join a growing leader in the building products industry and help us continue to be the Company of Choice.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Collaboration & Customer Interaction Collaborate with outside sales, operations manager, and customers to understand the project.Solve complex issues in a timely manner.Coordinate with operations for delivery of material to the job site.Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.Document all aspects of any given project through sales orders, purchase orders, order acknowledgements, submittals, emails and/or other forms of correspondence.Work with suppliers and vendors for product information, lead-times, and shipping detailsPurchase material for assigned jobs.Select vendors, negotiate best price for purchased material and have knowledge of vendor pricing.Estimating & SubmittalsTake Sales calls and receive orders.Prepare material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service.Create submittals and transmit them to customers.Create “take-offs” on doors, frames and hardware.Create machine sheets and other design specs for frame, door and hardware products as necessary.SafetyFollow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Adhere to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt. Physical Requirements Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures. Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.MiscellaneousSupport our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsMinimum 5 years with Wood Doors, Hollow Metal Frames and Commercial Door Hardware.DHI certification a plus.Knowledge of contract documents.Experience with large projects.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Strong reading comprehension.Attention to detail.Strong time management and organizational skills.MS Word and Excel.Knowledge with Specworks, Comsense, Protech or similar industry related software preferred.Current knowledge on codes, products and design changes for doors, frames and finish hardware.BenefitsAt UDHG, we’re committed to supporting our employees both personally and professionally.
