This role is integral in strengthening customer relationships, collaborating with internal teams, and ensuring the smooth flow of sales operations—all while embodying the company’s mission, vision, and values. At the counter, you're not just making sales, you’re building the trust and loyalty that fuel our long-term success.Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service & Sales Support Greet walk-in customers in a timely and professional manner.Determine customer needs and assist with material selection.Perform customer service duties by recommending substitute or alternative products better suited to customer requirements.Use sound professional judgment while representing the company.Order ManagementTake incoming sales orders via phone, email, and walk-in/will-call customers.Complete order documentation accurately and efficiently.Prepare job order quotations based on customer requests, following guidelines set by the Sales and Solutions Manager.Payment & Transaction Support Assist in the collection of payments from customers.Communication Conduct follow-ups with customers regarding back-ordered materials, delivery timelines, and job quotes via email or phone.Assist in creating material schedules as needed in collaboration with the customer.Safety Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Use proper lifting techniques.Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing. Physical RequirementsFrequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation, grasping and manipulation. Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 50 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures.Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.Miscellaneous Support our values in the stated areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED.Minimum of 1-3 years of like/similar experience preferably supporting a manufacturing, field application or production capacity.Microsoft Office proficiency - Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.Good working knowledge of construction as related to architectural products, doors, door products and related codes and requirements.Knowledge of field installation and applications is extremely helpful.Ability to apply exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.Possess strong communication, presentation and writing skills.Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.Passion for providing excellent service and quality.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Time management skills.Compensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
