With strong organization and communication skills, you play a key role in ensuring smooth project execution and supporting UDHG’s commitment to excellence in the building products industry.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management & Coordination Assists with creation of short and long-term goals and strategiesManages all project communications, generating appropriate correspondence to facilitate a well-documented project while ensuring timely responsesMaintains project file with key milestones and statusAssists with review and markup of project contracts as requiredMaintains existing relationships with vendors and customersPerforms other related duties as assigned by managementContract & Documentation Support Assist with review and managing of all projects related company reports as requiredAssist with creation of purchase orders and follows release procedures for all materialAssist with creation of change orders and ICO’s per company guidelinesTechnical Review & Submittals Identify door swings, frame elevations, jamb profiles, wall types, and hardware information from architectural drawingsRead, analyze, and understand hardware, wood door, and hollow metal specifications to effectively create, update, or coordinate related submittals including literature for architect reviewEngineering Support & Scope Compliance Ensures that Engineering functions are completed in accordance with established production and contract scope requirementsWorks closely with Engineering to maintain project schedules, implement changes/revisions, review and revise returned submittals as requiredSafetyFollow all safety protocols and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment.Use proper lifting techniques.Adhere to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt. Physical Requirements Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting or carrying approximately 100 lbs. utilizing proper lifting procedures. Frequent driving or sitting in a truck, forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day.Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned.MiscellaneousSupport our values in the stand areas of Safety, Customer Focus, Teamwork, Integrity and being a Company of Choice for both employees and customers.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Associate Degree/Trade School and or related experienceOne to two years as Project Assistant in the door and hardware industry or relatedStrong competency in computer software and project knowledgeAttention to detailAble to organize multiple projectsWell organized with ability to plan & coordinateExcellent oral and written communicationStrong problem-solving abilitiesReports ToProject ManagerCompensation The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and cost of living in the assigned market.
