Together, we keep getting better - advancing our mission to transform healthcare and serve as a leader of positive change.The Manager, Radiology Operations will work collaboratively and effectively with the Director and Chair of Radiology to develop and implement policy and procedure along with programs and workflows to support quality, finance and growth of the department. The Manager, Radiology Operations is responsible for the daily operations of imaging support functions and clinical operations, as needed.A day in the life of a Manager of Radiology Operations at Hackensack MeridianHealth includes:1. Leads the radiology support team and other assigned radiology employee teams to ensure high performance, reliable service, staff engagement, and accountability2. Leads with effective problem solving, including active listening, maintaining impartiality, confidentiality, and appropriately balancing the needs with available resources and constraints. 3. Ensures proper staffing levels, timely recruitment of a high-quality workforce, proper orientation and training of new employees, employee development, effective coordination of daily activities, and employee satisfaction within the workplace.4. Ensures that all credentialing, State and JC standards are met in collaboration with modality leaders.5. Provides statistical, financial and research reports as requested by faculty or radiology leaders6. Provides data analysis, trending and data presentation as requested by the faculty or radiology leaders7. Coordinates and tracks all research activities by maintaining an accurate database and periodically conducting audits8. Collaborates with revenue representative to audit and manage billing interphases9. Collaborates with director of radiology to track grants, faculty and department contracts10. Oversees operating budgets, capital requests in collaboration with director of radiology and modality leaders11. Provides analysis and variance reporting for radiology operating budgets12. Participates as an important member of the department's management team to help address and resolve broad management/administrative issues such as planning for future programs and services, procedure coding and revenue capture, cost monitoring and control, patient scheduling, patient and staff safety, workflows, operational monitoring, regulatory compliance, public relations and the overall timeliness and quality of services provided to customers in assigned sections and across the department13. Leads specific, assigned projects to ensure on-time and on-budget completion to the highest standards14. Leads teams to manage both small and large-scale projects in collaboration with Director of Radiology15. Develops and implements communication plans for assigned projects16. Maintains a database listing of radiology projects and associated progress17. Leads or participates in Performance Improvement projects18. Improves efficiency and processes using LEAN or other workflow improvement methods19. Other duties and/or projects as assigned20. Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behaviorEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:1. Bachelor's degree2. Minimum of 3 or more years of experience in healthcare business and/or operations3. Intermediate knowledge of budgeting processes5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.6. Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:1. Master's degree in business administrationLicenses and Certifications Preferred:1.
