Security Technician

Security Technician u2013 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Location: Central/North Jersey Schedule: Monday u2013 Friday, 7:00 AM u2013 3:30 PM Overview We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and servicing IP-based security systems in commercial and industrial environments. Responsibilities include installation of access control systems, electronic door and lock hardware, cable running, and terminations. Candidates should be self-motivated, maintain a professional appearance, and communicate effectively with customers to resolve issues. Preferred Skills + Installation and servicing of CCTV systems + Installation and servicing of Card Access systems + Installation and servicing of Burglar/Fire Alarm systems + Strong construction knowledge + Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings + Excellent problem-solving skills Job Requirements + Ability to operate hand and power tools , lift up to 50 lbs, and install/service security devices + Clear communication with customers and team members + Ability to climb ladders and work at heights (12u201332 feet or higher using man lifts) + Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook) + Ability to recognize and identify colors + Dependable and punctual attendance + Ability to work full-time schedule and overtime as needed + Available for travel , including nights and weekends + Required to wear company uniform and maintain a neat appearance Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wayne, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
