This Opportunity WSP is currently initiating a search for a Full-Time Senior Resident Engineer/Construction Manager for our Tempe, Arizona office. Be involved in projects with our Construction Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clientu2019s objectives and solves their challenges Your Impact _Pre-construction phase:_ + Conduct constructability reviews of design documents + Provide cost estimating and budget development + Help with bid package preparation and contractor selection + Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other consultants + Scheduling and coordinating Pre-construction and Partnering meetings _Construction phase:_ + Monitor project progress against schedule and budget + Identify and manage potential risks + Review change orders and recommend approvals + Oversee quality control and safety compliance + Reviews project activities with client and contractoru2019s field supervision resolving disputes and other daily issues + Oversees materials testing activities + Reviews daily inspection reports and other project documentation + Facilitate communication between the owner, design team, and contractors + Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings + Analyze project data to identify cost-saving opportunities + Provide recommendations for project adjustments as needed + Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSPu2019s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures + Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs #LI-TD1 Who You Are Required Qualifications + Bacheloru2019s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience + Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of AZ. + Minimum of 12 years of relevant construction experience + A demonstrated ability to read and completely understand contract documents + Deep understanding of construction practices, building codes, and project delivery methods + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders + Proven experience in construction management, preferably with a focus on owner representation + Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPu2019s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies Preferred Qualifications + Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred + Experience working on city, county and or state construction projects + Experience in one or more of the following areas: Highways; Rail; Aviation; Water; Mining About WSP WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of WSP, one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
