SummaryACG is seeking Entry-Level Contract Support Specialists to provide cradle-to-grave acquisition support services to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) under a federal contract. This position supports Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists by performing routine pre-award and post-award acquisition tasks. Work is fully remote; occasional travel to a local VA facility is required for onboarding, fingerprinting, and issuance of government-furnished equipment (GFE).Key Responsibilities- Conduct basic acquisition planning tasks and assist with market research.- Draft, format, and prepare procurement documents including statements of work (SOW), performance work statements (PWS), solicitation packages, and other acquisition-related forms.- Prepare Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCE) inputs and assist with cost/price data collection.- Support COs and CORs with solicitation preparation, posting actions, and contract file documentation in federal systems.- Assist in the review of contractor proposals, documentation of evaluation comments, and preparation of award documents.- Draft routine contract modifications, option year notices, funding documents, and closeout documentation.- Maintain electronic contract files in accordance with VA policy and quality standards.- Track milestones, action items, and deliverables to support Procurement Action Lead Time (PALT) goals.- Perform data entry, scanning, document management, and administrative acquisition tasks as assigned.- Communicate effectively with COs, CORs, project managers, and stakeholder teams.Minimum Qualifications (Required)- High school diploma or equivalent.- At least 1 year of federal contracting or acquisition support experience within the last 5 years.- Experience performing routine pre-award and post-award tasks such as document preparation, market research assistance, contract file maintenance, or closeout support.- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English (written and verbal).- U.S. Citizenship (required by the government).- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable background investigation, complete onboarding paperwork, and comply with mandatory VA training requirements.- Proficiency with MS Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Internet browsers, and Adobe Acrobat.- Familiarity with government procurement systems is preferred but not required (training provided).Preferred Qualifications- Experience supporting federal contracting offices (VA experience a plus).- Basic understanding of FAR/VAAR concepts.- Experience preparing simple acquisition documents, market research summaries, or contract file artifacts.Additional Requirements- Must complete required VA training (Information Security, Privacy, Rules of Behavior, etc.).- Must travel once to the nearest VA facility for PIV card issuance and receipt of government-furnished equipment.- Must adhere to remote work security protocols and safeguard all government property and information.Work Environment- Fully remote position.- Monday-Friday schedule, aligned with the local time zone of the supported VA contracting office.- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
