Employees in this class learn to use a variety of appraisal approaches, methods and techniques used to estimate the fair market value of residential, commercial, industrial, mixed-use, vacant land, institutional, or exempt properties in accordance with laws, ordinances and assessment industry standards. Work includes learning the proper techniques for research, data collection and compilation, on-site property inspection and statistical analysis.u00a0The Requirements are as follows:u00a0OPTION 1:1. EDUCATION OR CERTIFICATION:u00a0Completion of a bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university.ORu00a0Certification as a Certified Pennsylvania Evaluator or equivalent certificationAND2. EXPERIENCE:u00a0One year of experience:u2022appraising real property as a licensed appraiser for a professional appraisal firm, bank, mortgage company, or law firmu2022assessing real property for a government agencyOROPTION 2:1. EDUCATION:u00a0Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth school gradeAND2.
