JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Title: Event Cook Department: Food & BeverageReports to: Executive Chef DOL Status: Part-Time Supervises Others: NoExemption Status: Hourly; Non-exempt General Summary: Responsible forthe preparation of food for caterings, suites and /or concession standsat the Resch Center, Resch Expo, Meyer Theatre, Backstage and anyoff-site locations. In doing so, ensures the highest quality ofpresentation and perparation of food. Also responsible for generalkitchen cleaning and prep duties. Job Duties: Demonstrates and embodiesthe PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values.Responsible for maintaining a quality and consistent presentation offood products as directed by the Food & Beverage department staff.Establishes and upholds standards of personnel performance and customerservice. Regularly inspects and evaluates physical condition of assignedareas to ensure food preparation is performed in accordance with allapplicable governmental regulations and codes. Prepares and serves foodin designated Company locations and in a sanitary and timely manner.Cleans and maintains work areas in practicing good safety, sanitation,and organizational skills. Assists with the cleaning, sanitation andorganization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and storage areas. Performsadditional responsibilities as requested by the Executive Chef andsenior Food & Beverage department staff. Responsible for following,observing, and participating in all Company related safety programs,procedures, and training, as well as reporting potentially unsafeprocedures. Maintains a neat, clean appearance and courteouscommunication with business contacts and public. Performs all otherduties as requested. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: A minimumof 6-month experience in a production cook position in a high-volumefood and beverage operation. Must be knowledgeable in food handling andfood preparation. Must have proven skills in the areas of foodproduction, sanitation, and presentation. Be skilled in the operationand maintenance of a variety of food handling equipment. Beknowledgeable of state of local health laws pertaining to the storage,handling and preparation of dispensing of food and beverages. Be skilledin good housekeeping practices of areas where food is stored, prepared,and served or dispensed. Be skilled in the operation and maintenance ofa variety of food handling equipment. Must be proficient in operating and maintaining a variety ofkitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, grills, slicers, etc. Abilityto workdays, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by eventschedule. Other Expectations: Frequent mobility and/or sitting,standing, bending, or reaching for extensive periods of time. Requireseye-hand coordination and manual and finger dexterity sufficient andfull range of body motion including handling and lifting items weighingup to 50 pounds. Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedbackin a professional manner. Must be able to give, receive and analyzeinformation, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, andarticulate goals and action plans. Occasional high stress work may beinvolved in the normal performance of this position.
