Systems Administrator

Description We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to join our team in Jamaica, New York. In this role, you will ensure the seamless operation of our IT systems, including servers and networks, while providing Level 2 Help Desk support and training to other departments. Your responsibilities will include maintaining system security, optimizing performance, and addressing technical issues to enhance overall efficiency. Responsibilities: u2022 Manage daily operations of network and server environments to ensure consistent performance and reliability. u2022 Monitor system performance and analyze network traffic to proactively identify and resolve issues. u2022 Implement solutions to meet organizational needs and improve system functionality. u2022 Perform upgrades, repairs, and regular evaluations to keep systems running efficiently. u2022 Develop and execute security strategies to safeguard the network and computing systems. u2022 Assign and update security permissions to maintain secure access across the system. u2022 Provide training and guidance to users on proper utilization of hardware and software. u2022 Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems reported by users or identified through monitoring. u2022 Document system management processes and maintain accurate records for future reference. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, or a related field with a quantitative focus. u2022 At least 2 years of experience managing a Cisco network environment. u2022 Certification in relevant IT domains. u2022 Proficiency in managing Microsoft Windows Server environments. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools and applications. u2022 Strong verbal and written communication skills. u2022 Experience with Active Directory, Dell Technologies, Citrix Technologies, and Windows 10. u2022 Previous Help Desk experience and additional certifications are advantageous.
