Tax Preparer

Description We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Baxter, Minnesota. In this long-term contract role, you will focus on preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This position requires strong tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver exceptional customer service in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Prepare individual and business tax returns using specialized software, ensuring accuracy and completeness. u2022 Apply comprehensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws to complete returns and address client-specific tax situations. u2022 Conduct detailed reviews of completed tax returns to identify and correct potential errors. u2022 Respond to client inquiries and provide clear, detail-oriented answers to tax-related questions. u2022 Research complex tax issues to ensure compliance and accuracy in all filings. u2022 Collaborate with team members to discuss and resolve challenging tax scenarios. u2022 Maintain adherence to established office procedures and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency. u2022 Stay updated on changes in tax regulations to ensure accurate application during tax preparation. u2022 Provide exceptional customer service to build trust and maintain strong client relationships. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting is preferred. u2022 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent certification is strongly desired. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation or accounting is preferred. u2022 Proficiency in typing and numeric keypad skills is required. u2022 Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws is essential. u2022 Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook. u2022 Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. u2022 Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
