We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Water Process Mechanical Engineer in North Texas.As part of our team, youu2019ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our municipal clientsu2019 water and wastewater challenges locally and worldwide. Youu2019ll be charged with designing water and wastewater pump stations, treatment facilities/processes for water and wastewater plants, conveyance systems, technical writing, and construction drawing and specification production. Weu2019ll have you use your experience to design pump stations for water and wastewater, including pipe sizing calculations, selection of pump type, process facilities (primary, secondary, tertiary, and solids treatment systems), rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, blowers), piping systems, valves, and appurtenances for in plant process piping, chemical systems, and hydraulic studies. You will work collaboratively with our team to complete the following:u2022 Evaluation and selection of process equipment, pumping systems, materials selectionu2022 Development of facility layouts, construction documents, including drawings and specificationsu2022 Water and wastewater process modeling, mass balances, and design calculationsu2022 Data analysis and hydraulic modelingu2022 Technical report writingu2022 Construction services supportu2022 Field inspection of mechanical equipmentYou will also work with diverse teams to deliver challenging projects while serving and developing clients across the United States and internationally. If youu2019re interested in a long and rewarding career working with the industryu2019s best and most innovative engineers, then Jacobs is where you belong. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, or related engineering field from an accredited university or college.u2022 5+ years of experience specific to municipal water and/or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.u2022 Professional Engineer (PE) license.u2022 Self-motivation, team-oriented work practices, strong data analysis skills, technical problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment.u2022 Proficient skills with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ideally, youu2019ll also have:u2022 10 or more years of experience including internships specific to municipal water and/or wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.u2022 Masteru2019s degree in mechanical or related engineering discipline.u2022 Hydraulic modeling skills (AFT Fathom, Pipe-Flo).u2022 Construction or facility operations experience.Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
