JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Sales Director will lead and execute strategies todrive growth within a defined Defense vertical. This role requiresstrong leadership, collaboration with regional and national teams, andthe ability to manage complex sales environments while delivering onfinancial and operational targets. Key Responsibilities: Directs VAM,SAM, and SAE's in defined verticals who interface daily with: EndUsers, Direct OEM's and referred OEM's, IndustrialDistributors/Channel Partners, EPCM's, Industry Trade OrganizationsEffectively collaborates with AAM Regional Sales Directors and NationalAccounts Director Sets short and long-term sales strategies andevaluates effectiveness of current sales deployment to drive marketshare growth Provides VOC input to Business Unit Leadership ExecutesBusiness Strategic Plans Serves as the escalation point for salesassociates and internal customer issues maintain a review cadence onfunnel and ATO's with sellers and business unit partners PerformanceManagement of the team Perform annual review of account segmentation andaccount assignments. Deploy sales resources to effectively meet/exceedannual team and individual quote targets. Reviews SAMP plans forstrategic accounts Leverage KPI's provided by the CRM as a tool incoaching sellers Maintain C-level relationships at key accounts Coaches,trains, and develops a group of sellers to overdrive quota Developssales talent in the organization and builds bench strength in theorganization Interviews and hires new sales talent as needed Performsannual performance evaluations for sales team members Performtwice-annual SMART goal review and execute merit increase assessmentUtilize Regal Rexnord talent review tools to assess talent and potentialFacilitate regional meetings Leads customer-related trainings and plantvisits Manages root-cause countermeasure (RCCM) process TradeOrganization participation and leadership Key Shared Accountabilities:Navigate the matrixed organization using 80/20 principles Education &Skills: BS in Industrial Technology/Mechanical Engineering or relatedfield preferred. 10+ years of experience in vertical sales, with astrong track record of driving growth and managing complex sales cycles.Technical products industry experience preferred; Familiarity with salesprocesses in the defense industry and understanding of how defenseprograms operate is highly desirable. Deep knowledge of the defenseindustry, including its unique challenges, regulatory environment, andcompetitive dynamics. Ability to develop and execute strategic salesplans for technical solutions, leveraging industry insights to buildlong-term relationships.
