We have an exciting opportunity foraPiping or Plumbing VDC/BIM Designer located in Milwaukee, WI. How youwill contribute: As a Plumbing or Piping Designer at J. F. Ahern,you'll play a critical role in the success of our projects. You willdesign and model complex systems-either plumbing or piping-based onprovided specifications and ensure all associated drawings,calculations, and material lists are accurate and complete. Your worksets the foundation for project execution, enabling our field and shopteams to deliver with optimal productivity and efficiency. You'llcollaborate with project teams to coordinate comprehensive systems thatvary in size and scope, operating independently in a fast-pacedenvironment to meet deadlines and ensure quality. What You Need toQualify To succeed in this role, you should have either an Associate orBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering,Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, or a related field with proficiency inrecent versions of software, including Revit, Navisworks and AutodeskConstruction Cloud. You may also qualify through equivalent fieldexperience such as managing large commercial or industrial constructionprojects that involve fabrication and coordination responsibilities. Astrong understanding of building construction, the ability to readblueprints, and solid math and problem-solving skills are required. Youshould also be able to manage design schedules and lead coordinationefforts. For plumbing designers, a working knowledge of WisconsinPlumbing Code is necessary, while piping designers should haveexperience with steam and hydronic systems. What's in it for you?
