Bethe Best Associate Medical Director Visit Physician You Can Be If youmeet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: Maintains anactive license and DEA in the state where care is being provided. WhatYou Need to Know Associate Medical Director Visit Physician -Responsibilities Create a Plan of Care for each Patient at the inpatientunit, including discussing general inpatient care criteria and potentialdischarge plans with the IDG, patient, and family Sign deathcertificates, as applicable Participate in the evaluation andcertification or recertification of the terminal prognosis, asapplicable Establish consistent times for daily rounds, including RNs,team directors, and social workers, and prepare staff for daily roundsConduct daily rounding on each patient receiving general inpatient careEstablish a schedule for physician coverage at the inpatient unitProvide education to IDG during rounds, and conduct in-services fornewly hired staff Promote physician collaboration on Patients Ensure theeligibility for general inpatient care is documented Provide after-hourscall coverage at the inpatient unit on days on which inpatient visitsare made.
