Department OverviewThe Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Emergency Call Handling, 911 Equipment, Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems and Mobile Data Computing, among other offerings.Job DescriptionThis position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in CST or EST time zones. There will be in excess of 75% travelThe Emergency Call Handling (ECH) Field Engineer will report to the ECH Field Engineer Manager. The Field Engineer is ultimately accountable for the system being implemented based on the site design specifics including the on-site configuration, testing, cut, and post-cut support for Motorola's ECH solutions.The Field Engineer may also provide consultation to both internal and external customers on complex solutions being deployed in the field.Responsibilities include:Performs system configuration for all supported and assigned ECH solutionsPerforms site verification testing prior to cutting a site into a production environmentProvides support to Customer and Channel Partners while deploying the ECH solution into a production environmentDocuments all changes to the solution that may occur during the implementation phase of the projectEnsures that installation/quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient mannerEnsures that project-specific documentation is stored as appropriateParticipates in the development and approval of Methods of ProcedureParticipates in pre-contract oral presentations and customer negotiates as requiredMaintains subject matter expert skillsPreferred Skills:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, IT, Software Engineering, or Technology3+ plus years of deployment and integration of complex IP products and systems.Experience with installation, administration, and troubleshooting of:Server Virtualization, specifically with VMWare ESXi v.6+ andor Microsoft Hyper-V 2012+Database Servers, specifically with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R220122016Server Operating Systems, specifically Windows Server 2008 R2 and 2012 R2Workstation Operating Systems, specifically Windows 7 & 10LinuxNetwork Switches, preferably with Cisco IOSBasic knowledge of Firewalls and Routers, preferably with Fortinet FortigateServer hardware / Workstation hardwarePrevious experience in Public Safety Applications deployment and integration and/or operations and administration preferred.Exercises judgment in the selection of methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.Ability to work collaboratively with regional and territorial management.Ability to effectively communicate with relevant peers and senior stakeholders.Ability to apply critical thinking skills to solve problems and make decisionsThere will be in excess of 75% travelPreferred Qualifications:3+ year of experience in Deployment or Integration of complex IP products and ptia Network+ AND Security+Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,0000Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay t ansparency and equity.
