Job#: 3015457 Job Description: Job Description: Content Production SpecialistLocation: Vienna, VASchedule: Onsite 2 days per week, and remote 3 days per week(will increase to 3 days onsite in April 2026)Estimated Duration: 6+ monthsThe primary focus of this role will be editing and optimizing online financial education content, creating and circulating proofs of online content for approval, and managing and incorporating feedback from stakeholders. This individual will be expected to maintain brand standards for accuracy, style, tone and voice; collaborate with Marketing staff and other internal business units and external vendors; and support high-level Marketing strategic initiatives.Seeking a candidate with extensive experience in web content production, especially editing for grammar and style, optimizing for search engines and AI, incorporating editing feedback, and managing versions and reviews. Extensive experience and proficiency in on-page search engine optimization (SEO) and online best practices are required. Prior experience working in a heavily regulated industry (e.g., finance, legal, government) is not required but preferred. Experience with content management systems (CMS) and digital analytics are a plus. Must be comfortable working with tight deadlines, juggling multiple projects, interacting with multiple stakeholders simultaneously, and applying critical reading,writing and editing skills. Strong organization skills and attention to detail are essential.Responsibilities Edit web content, optimize for search and incorporate stakeholder feedback accurately using Microsoft Word and Create proofs of web content as PDFs and share with stakeholders for feedback using work management platform Adobe Workfront Revise content to incorporate feedback from marketing strategists, internal business partners, compliance, proofreaders, and other stakeholders Ensure stakeholders meet their deadlines for approvals Accurately track and implement revisions across multiple versions of content Implement SEO best practices such as keyword usage, heading structure and optimized anchor link text Maintain an approachable, informative, and empowering tone in our content to educate (not sell) all site visitors (not just members) Represent Web & Content Strategy team at meetings with business units and other Marketing teams, as needed Support the timely execution of our content production calendarQualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience Strong written and verbal communications skills Experience in content delivery, management, retrieval systems and production for high-traffic websites Intermediate understanding of HTML and CSS Intermediate understanding of managing formatting, comments, and track changes in Word Intermediate knowledge of SEO strategy as applied to content Experience using SEO tools to effectively optimize content for search results Experience managing editorial reviews process and updating content quickly and accurately Experience editing to translate complex concepts, customer needs, motivations and behaviors into easy-to-understand content Experience working in a demanding, fast-paced, creative environment (e.g., advertising/marketing agency, publication, etc.) Maintain current knowledge of digital and online technologies, best practices, trends, issues, editing and authoring tools Can navigate multiple screens and PC applications Easily adapts to new web technologies A good listener, proactive, and open to learning new things Preferred, but not required - Experience in using web analytics software (e.g., Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics) Preferred, but not required - Experience in various content management systems (Adobe Experience Manager preferred but not required) Preferred, but not required - Knowledge of the financial services environment and Navy Federal's functions, policies, procedures, products, and services Apex Systems is a world-class IT services company that serves thousands of clients across the globe.
