*Job Description** **$4,000 Sign-On Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine** The **Harborview Medical Center Pharmacy Department** is looking for an outstanding **Pharmacy Technician 2 – Pharmacy Purchasing and Rebate Technician** to join our **Pharmacy Purchasing team** ! **WORK SCHEDULE** • Full-Time / 40 hours per week • Rotating/Variable Shift **POSITION HIGHLIGHTS** • Support implementation of the Medicare Maximum Fair Price (MFP) Program and the 340B Drug Pricing Program Rebate Pilot • We are looking for a detail-focused, analytical, and highly organized individual to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of new MFP and 340B rebate requirements • This role directly supports UW Medicine’s ability to meet federal deadlines, safeguard compliance, and optimize rebate capture across pharmacies. • Independently perform specialized technical and administrative tasks required to manage weekly and monthly rebate workflows, maintain audit-ready documentation, and coordinate across pharmacy and revenue-cycle teams • This position offers the opportunity to support a high-impact, federally mandated program in a fast-paced, evolving environment, contributing directly to UW Medicine’s mission and patient-care programs **PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** • Perform all duties of a Pharmacy Technician 1. • Compile, validate, and upload weekly dispense data to the Beacon rebate portal for both Medicare Maximum Fair Price (MFP) drugs and 340B Pilot Program drugs. • Review and correct rejected claims; resubmit transactions within required weekly deadlines. • Reconcile rebate payments, document reversals and underpayments, and support appeals for denied claims. • Track program performance and prepare monthly rebate-capture reports. • Maintain comprehensive quality assurance documentation required for specialized functions, ensuring all records are audit-ready for the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), internal compliance teams, and UW Medicine auditors. • Train pharmacy technicians, students and interns on specialized job duties as assigned. Strong candidates will have prior experience with rebate operations, 340B program administration, or pharmacy revenue-cycle workflows is highly desired. Strong candidates will also have familiarity with 340B split-billing software, wholesaler accounts, or inventory-management tools, comfort using electronic portals, spreadsheets, data-management tools, and pharmacy information systems and an interest and aptitude for health-care and information technology. **REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Technician 1 OR equivalent education/experience. **LEGAL REQUIREMENT** State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification. _CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT_ _UW Medicine is committed to being a drug-free workplace.
