Reference #: 4881RK&K is hiring a College Intern to join our Pennsylvania Construction Management and Construction Inspection Division.Our interns will receive on-the-job training, mentorship and insight into various aspects of the consulting Construction Management and Construction Inspection industry from design to field work and client management. Individuals will be exposed to various challenges, projects and technology related to their specific discipline.As a paid intern in our CM/CEI Division you will:Provide construction management support, including assisting with inspection and monitoring of roadway and bridge structures to ensure compliance with contract documents and safety regulationsAssisting with materials tracking and testing to ensure compliance as requiredProvide contract management support for Construction ProjectsProvide construction management support, including assisting with quantity calculations, as-built sketches, constructability reviews, attending project control meetings and other pre-operation meetings, and issue trackingFully engage in solving problems to provide technical evaluation and sound solutionsReview lines, grades, dimensions, and elevations using standard survey and field engineering equipmentRequired Qualifications:Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering & Management, Environmental Science or related areaProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel)Strong attention to detailAbility to work both independently and in a team environmentExcellent written and oral communication skillsValid driver's licensePreferred Qualifications:Classwork in Construction EngineeringParticipation in Professional SocietiesApplicable prior internship experienceOther DutiesThis job description indicates the general nature and levels of work, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other essential functions (as covered under ADA).
