Culinary Lab Technician

Under the direct supervision of the Hospitality Department Chair, Program Chair, or designee, the technician will be responsible for the general upkeep of all culinary kitchen and will support and assist faculty in setting up and taking down labs.*This is an applicant pool*DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for general maintenance, which includes cleaning glassware and other equipment, as well as maintaining an orderly, safe environment.Responsible for preparation of equipmentAssist faculty in setting up kitchen, preparing food, and cleaning up afterwards.Perform periodic inventory of supplies and equipment, and work with supervisor to maintain supply and order consumable materials.Work with supervisor and/or faculty to obtain OSHA, food safety, and other applicable regulations and apply them as needed.Perform clerical work associated with the facilities.Follow IVY Tech Community College policies regarding reporting and management of laboratory plete required paperwork, such as timesheets, in a timely manner.Any other duties assigned by supervisor and/or faculty that pertain to the laboratory.Education, Experience And Other Requirements:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in commercial kitchen preferredIvy Tech Community College is an accredited, equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
