As a Machine Operator, you are responsible for operating various machines in the production areas while adhering to safety requirements, quality parameters and in-process checks.Follow detailed partsinstructions and ensure thatprocessing requirements in those documents are completedRecordprocess data as required by standard operating proceduresTroubleshoot minor problems with the equipmentInspect parts both visually and dimensionally, use proper measuring equipmentInterpret visual specifications to recognize and classify defective materialPerform testing and inspection of materials and/or parts throughout the processing sequenceRequirements:Must be flexible to work both afternoon & overnight shiftsMust be flexible to work either 8, 10, or 12 hours shifts plus weekends/overtime as neededHigh School Diploma /GED1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating equipmentAbility to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and gaugesMechanical interest and aptitudeEssential Tasks:This position requires the individual to wear and work in personal protective equipmentThis position requires that the individual is able to lift a minimum of 45lbs. and can maneuver large, cumbersome equipmentRequired to do data entry and operate a computer at timesRequired to stand, walk and sit; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and armsRegularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch at timesAbility to push/pull up to 130 pounds of forceSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision and the ability to adjust focus when readingAbility to work in environments with hot temperature conditionsAbility to operate manufacturing equipment such as forklifts on occasionThe selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
