Eatonu2019s IS AER FED division is currently seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer. This position will be located at our Jackson, MI facility. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will support the High-Performance Work team including day to day floor support, tooling design, gauging, quality, and efficiency. In this role, you will conduct process improvements through collection and analysis of manufacturing data to improve safety, product quality, customer delivery, and cost reductions. u200b The expected annual salary range for this role is $83250.0 - $122100.0 a year. What youu2019ll do: u2022 Maintain and improve safe and environmentally responsible manufacturing processes. u2022 Use MESH (Eaton Environmental, Safety and Health process), and other Eaton and industry standard practices. u2022 Design processes to ensure that components and assemblies meet all internal and external customer quality specifications (Eaton Quality System, AS9100, and NADCAP). u2022 Ensure efficiency tied to capital intensity and human resources by utilizing Eaton LEAN and Six Sigma tools. u2022 Active membership of a High-Performance Work Team (HPWT)/Focus Factory to support on-time delivery of customer orders through the manufacturing process excellence, including troubleshooting machine and tooling problems, supporting the DMR process, and implementing continuous flow concepts. u2022 Maintain and improve product flow through the plant through reduced Defective material Report (DMR) and Process stop occurrences. Resolve issue quickly when product stops occur. u2022 Design gaging, and tooling utilizing CATIA solid modeling software and other engineering analysis and design tools. Work with suppliers and purchasing to procure tooling and supplies as required. u2022 Create and maintain pFMEAs, process routers, equipment PMs and Process documents to ensure safety, quality, and cost targets are achieved. u2022 Troubleshoot, recommend and implement changes in products and processes to improve manufacturability and profitability (cost out). Work directly with production associates, from all areas of the plant, in the implementation of projects to build an inclusive culture and processes that meet the needs of all employees and customers. u2022 Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid in design and improvement of processes or products including scrap and defective material report (DMR) system. u2022 Manage activities and budgets for manufacturing and process improvement projects, including the development of the project management requirements and all implementation documentation. u2022 Provide functional and technical support to the HPWT within the assigned area of focus as well as the organization as required to support goals. u2022 Provide support to launch projects through ProLaunch team as required to achieve a flawless launch. Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline from an accredited institution. u2022 Minimum of two (2) years professional experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing processes or other related engineering functions. u2022 Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future. u2022 This position requires access to export-controlled information. To conform to U.S. Government export regulations applicable to that information, applicant must be a U.S. person, defined as a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (green card holder), (iii) refugee under 8 U.S.C. 1157, or (iv) asylee under 8 U.S.C. 1158. u2022 No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
