Job Description Role Overview: As an Oracle Data Center Technician , youu2019ll be a key technical liaison between our technology teams and the data center environment. You will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, escalating complex cases as needed. Work Environment: This is a hands-on position involving a 24/7 shift rotation to ensure optimal data center operations. Job Requirements: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable military technical training/work experience. + Recent graduates and transitioning service members encouraged to applyu2014demonstrated technical aptitude, willingness to learn, and adaptability regarded highly. + 2-5 yearsu2019 experience in IT infrastructure support or server administrationu2014experience in military IT/communications or electronics roles are highly relevant. + Mission-critical operations experienceu2014ideal for those with backgrounds in maintaining continuous operations and responding to facility/system emergencies. + Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in cramped or elevated locationsu2014akin to IT, communications, or facility roles in the military. + Able to climb 9 ft. ladders + Ability to stand for up to 12 hours + Understanding of data center/electrical and cooling plant operations. + Experience managing airflow systems (hot aisle/cold aisle). + Experience installing and commissioning rack equipment. + Strong structured cabling skills with fiber and copper. Technical Skills: + Systems administration (Linux and/or Windows, command line usage preferred). + Hardware repair, diagnostics, and troubleshooting (break/fix expertise). + Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, troubleshooting). + Understanding of IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, x86, SCSI, FC, Ethernet, remote management like iLO). + Base operating system installation and configuration. + Familiarity with core OS services (SSH, Telnet, RDP, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, Serial).
