Social Worker Educator u2013 Durham, NC (Hybrid Role) Patients are at the center of our business strategies. The Educator - Patient Engagement Center Program is an educational-based program designed as a resource for patients living with chronic diseases that have been prescribed for specific medications. The Educators provide patient-focused education to assist patients to better manage their disease state and access appropriate resources associated with their prescribed medication. Educators are responsible for participating in one-on-one communications with patients. The Educator interacts with enrolled patients by telephone, video platforms, email, and SMS (text) strictly following the guidelines of the program. The Educator program is educational based. Educators do not provide medical advice or work clinically within this role. Job Responsibilities: u00b7 Coordinate and facilitate the connection between patients and program approved, patient-based resources. u00b7 Provide educational training to patients on specific disease states and medication administration as prescribed by their Healthcare professional. u00b7 Provide education to foster appropriate dialogue between patients and health care providers. u00b7 Support treatment decisions made between the patient and healthcare provider. u00b7 Provide product-related training as outlined in the program guidelines. u00b7 Any additional duties assigned by program management. Schedule: u00b7 This hybrid position will take place primarily in an office setting in the Raleigh area, NC. u00b7 Able to work a defined shift (8am u2013 5pm, 9:30am u2013 6:30pm, 11am u2013 8pm), with occasional flexibility to support coverage needs across other shifts when required. u00b7 Flexibility to support patients on Mountain or Pacific time zones as assigned. u00b7 Must be flexible to work weekends or evenings as needed. u00b7 Travel 20-40%. Required Qualifications: u00b7 Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker license (NC license or approved NC reciprocity) u00b7 Possess or be willing to begin the process of obtaining a Compact multi-state license upon the start date. u00b7 Possess or be willing to begin the process of obtaining a California LCSW license upon the start date. u00b7 Direct interaction with patients and support for persistence and compliance experience. u00b7 Knowledge of clinical data and pharmacology. u00b7 Demonstrated time management skills; planning and prioritization skills; ability to multi-task and maintain prioritization of key projects and deadlines. u00b7 Demonstrated effective presentation skills; ability to motivate others; excellent interpersonal (written and verbal) skills with demonstrated effectiveness to work cross functional and independently. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to work and drive results and with enthusiasm. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to develop and execute plans in an independent environment. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to take initiative and vision, challenge existing assumptions and interpretations. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to effectively build relationships with third parties using good negotiation skills. u00b7 Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing work environments and responsibilities. u00b7 Fully competent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and iPad technology Preferred Qualifications: u00b7 3+ years clinical experience in healthcare including hospital, home health, pharmaceutical or biotech preferred. u00b7 Educator experience preferred. u00b7 Prior experience working in a virtual or call center environment and providing patient education telephonically preferred. u00b7 Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred. u00b7 Some duties may require compliance with client on-site expectations, which can include full vaccination. The potential base pay range for this role is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
