DescriptionZappos is looking for a detail-orientated and analytical Email & App Marketing Associate to support and further develop the global email and push notification program. This role is critical to helping Zappos drive revenue growth and deliver a best-in-class customer marketing experience. The Email & App Marketing Associate will provide technical expertise for the marketing team to enhance customer experiences using platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud by coding, building, and testing email communications and push notifications. This position will develop and implement marketing journeys and provide ongoing support of our email marketing systems and automation platforms. The Email & App Marketing Associate will partner with Tech teams to provide recommendations for marketing cloud platform. The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Key job responsibilities Daily Email Coding u2022 Code, build and test email communications and push notifications u2022 Set up, test, QA and launch dynamic content u2022 Monitor active campaigns daily and quickly troubleshoot to resolve errors u2022 Design emails and fix issues utilizing HTML/CSS and marketing cloud developer tools u2022 Refresh and modernize existing email templates on an ad-hoc basis u2022 Manage calendar across multiple campaigns to ensure on-time delivery, progression of messaging, etc. u2022 Execute A/B tests to continuously improve performance across email and push notifications u2022 Serve as MC technical expert to optimize reporting, targeting, acquisition and retention opportunities u2022 Partner with the team to identify opportunities and new ideas for testing, personalizing, or launching new lifecycle campaigns to increase customer engagement and spend u2022 Collaborate with technical consultants in the development and integration of new applications Triggers and Automations u2022 Implement lifecycle marketing campaigns and journeys u2022 Modify automations to improve personalization and further business needs u2022 Optimize automated segments Email Database Management u2022 Analyze campaign performance and suggest improvements u2022 Manage email database, including merge, purge, dedupe, append, etc u2022 Work with Data Engineers and vendors to ensure data synchronization with other related databases u2022 Work with Tech and Data Engineers to ensure data synchronization between internal systems and Salesforce Basic Qualifications- 2+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - 1+ years of Salesforce, Tableau, Vidyard, and Excel experience - 1+ years of designing, building, and launching successful email engagement programs, specifically lifecycle/nurture programs experience - 2+ years of scripting language, or 2+ years of software development experience - Experience using email platforms and editing HTML - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems - Knowledge of API frameworks - Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce - Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects - Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasksPreferred Qualifications- Experience working with a major brand or entertainment company in project/production management - Experience using data visualization tools - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc. - Knowledge of HTML and CSS coding, as well as responsive web design on both desktop and mobile platforms - Knowledge of database systems and SQL - Experience building and formatting web pages and email templates - Experience in online retail operations or similar field - Experience with e-commerce, marketing, membership/loyalty, A/B testing, revenue management techniques - Experience dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering measurable results in an agile environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $53,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $113,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
