Network Field Service Engineer

In this role, you will support the City of San Diegou2019s network platforms for systems management, operational requests, and issue resolutionu2014helping deliver reliable, secure, and high-performing network services. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: u2022 Ensure network operations align with business goals and objectives. u2022 Support problem, defect, and incident management processes for seamless network performance. u2022 Provide evidence of network compliance for audit requests. u2022 Develop and track performance and functional metrics for network services. u2022 Troubleshoot issues, configure hardware and software, implement backup processes, and assess systems for upgrades or replacement. u2022 Assist with rollout of new systems, software, and enhancements. u2022 Monitor and maintain COMNET software, hardware, and network equipment, including installing necessary applications on servers and workstations. u2022 Ensure high levels of network availability and security. u2022 Document and improve DCS network equipment and configurations. u2022 Develop training materials and procedures as needed. u2022 Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers regarding network issues. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process.
