This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: Job AdGreen Boys LawnCare, Inc. located in Topeka, KSPhone 785-249-0121 or Fax 785-286-77883 lawn maintenance workers needed for temporary, full-time employmentJob Duties: Use rakes, shovels, mowers, trimmers, and other hand orpower tools or equipment to prepare grounds for landscaping activities.Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include anycombination of grass cutting, edging, mulching beds, trimming shrubs,planting, weed pulling, etc. Work to be performed outside from March15th to December 15th. Temperatures during summer months may reach above100 degrees. No education or prior work experience is required. Must beable to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 lbs.Employer will offer 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday 8AM - 4 PM, depending on weather conditions. Work on Saturdays may berequired. Workers are needed to begin training/work on 3/15/2026 through12/15/2026.Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout the Topeka areaincluding Shawnee County.Workers will be paid no less than $18.52 per hour. Overtime hours mayvary, depending on weather or other conditions, and will be paid at$27.78 per hour.The employer will provide on-the-job training in the proper use andmaintenance of landscaping power tools and equipment.The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computingwages due. Workers will be paid on Tuesday (weekly) by check. NoBoard/Lodging will be provided by employer; however, employer will beavailable to assist worker in finding housing for the season. Theemployer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck requiredby law.If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, theemployer will:Option A: arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistencefrom the place of recruitment to the place of work. -or-Option B: reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence fromthe place of recruitment to the place of work. -or-Option C: provide advance payment for transportation and subsistencefrom the place of recruitment to the place of work.Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissedearlier by the employer, the employer will provide or pay for worker'sreasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home orto the place the worker originally departed to work, except where theworker will not return due to subsequent employment with anotheremployer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker'svoluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportationpayment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical andreasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistencewill be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travelto a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from thedesignated pick-up location at the Topeka office.
