JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Description: The Brake Press Set-up/Operator isresponsible for the daily setup and operation of manual, mechanical andcomputer-controlled metal working equipment in a fabrication shopenvironment. He/she may be required to assist other operators as ahelper on key work or machines as required. Duties/Responsibilities:Setup, operate and adjust mechanical and manual sheet/plate steelforming equipment. Setup, program, operate and adjust CNC controlledsheet/plate steel forming equipment. Select the correct tooling for thejob task with setup documents or supervisor/lead assistance. Load,install and correctly set up the tools required with some assistancefrom supervisor/lead. Able to troubleshoot metal forming problems. Makeroutine decisions and use problem solving to resolve basic manufacturingissues or seek assistance. Perform assigned work to time standards andquality expectations. Account for time and work completed via a laborreporting system. Safely operate a forklift to handle materials andcompleted work. Report and document basic material, production andquality control issues. Maintain performance log books on assigned areaequipment, report deficiencies to the maintenance group. Participate inequipment maintenance at the operator level. Ability to workindependently. Positive and Strong work ethic. Adopt and incorporatequality methods into their work. OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills/Abilities: Knowledge and understandingof sheet/plate steel forming characteristics. Competent at basicdimensional measuring and the use of precision measurement tools. Basicability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints withguidance. Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.Good verbal and written communication skills. Desire to learn new skillsand improve technical knowledge. Strong orientation toward quality,safety and continuous improvement. Ability to work well in a fast pacedenvironment to meet team expectations. Commitment to quality andaccuracy of work performed. Demonstrated ability to effectivelyimplement or respond to change. Understanding and support of Companypolicies and procedures. Safety conscious behavior. Excellentattendance.
