Location:127 Public Square, Cleveland OhioJOB SUMMARYKeyBank National Association is seeking an experienced attorney to join Key Legal's Litigation Section. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of demonstrated experience and familiarity with defensive litigation; arbitration; mediation; case management; budgeting; subpoenas; electronic discovery; and other litigation-related skills. Knowledge of Financial Services Law, Banking Law, Consumer and Commercial Law is preferred, but not required.The location for this position is Cleveland, Ohio. This is not a remote position.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSManagement of defensive litigation and arbitration mattersRetention, management and coordination of outside counsel, including budgetsCoordinating and assisting with other Key Legal line of business support attorneys and clientsCoordinating with, and updating, line of business clients related to litigation mattersWith some supervision and oversight, provides sound legal advice on routine mattersProvide legal advice and support for all lines of business involved in defensive litigationPursues an understanding of litigation, business and regulatory environment through experience and training opportunitiesConsults on more complex matters with supervisionPossesses skills and experience in defensive litigation, class actions, and arbitrationsDevelops ability to anticipate client needs based on understanding of business and regulatory environmentProven comfort level/ experience collaborating with professionals and managementAbility to influence others through growing business acumen and technical knowledgeAdept in performing legal research; leverages the right resources to develop solutions that balance meeting the needs of the business and mitigating risk to KeyProactively escalates issues within Key Legal as appropriateWorking knowledge of banking industryActively participates in other daily tasks of Key Legal as neededKnowledge and experience with Local, State and Federal Civil Rules of ProcedureEDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSRequired - Bachelor's Degree, Juris Doctor Degree, and Active Ohio State Bar AdmissionEXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSA minimum of 3 years relevant litigation experience required. Demonstrated experience and familiarity with defensive litigation; arbitration; mediation; case management; budgeting; subpoenas; electronic discovery; and other litigation-related skills. Knowledge of Financial Services Law, Banking Law, Consumer and Commercial Law is preferred, but not required.TACTICAL SKILLSDemonstrated litigation-related experience in areas relevant to Key's business, services and productsAbility to work with a team, honor commitments, demonstrate open and honest communication, accept responsibility, and meet high ethical standardsExcellent writing, analytical, and communication skillsStrong organization and planning skills, must manage multiple matters, track information, and prioritize timeAbility to work collaboratively and build relationships within a large organizationWillingness to learn new areas of the law, acquire new skills, and take on additional and/or new responsibilities as neededAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and on multiple and varied projects simultaneously#LI-BS2COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSThis position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $94,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
