Weu2019re seeking an experienced, solutions-driven Sr. Construction Manager to join our team in San Francisco, CA. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, understands complex multi-phased construction, has strong experience in demolition and tenant improvement work, and can drive daily progress, quality, logistics, safety, and stakeholder coordination across an active campus environment.As a Sr. Construction Manager embedded at the clientu2019s site, you will report to the Project Manager and Program Manager and work closely with design teams, contractors, inspectors, and operations stakeholders. Youu2019ll serve as the onsite Owneru2019s Representative, responsible for ensuring the project is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule, quality, and compliance this role, you will lead day-to-day field oversight from preconstruction planning through turnover and occupancy. You will anticipate issues before they arise, drive continuous communication, and maintain a strong Owner presence throughout all phases of construction.As the onsite Owneru2019s Representative, you will be responsible for ensuring safe, high-quality, compliant execution of all construction activities, including:u2022 Oversee daily construction activities to ensure full compliance with plans, specifications, permits, and regulatory requirements.u2022 Maintain a strong onsite presence to track progress, validate work in place, and proactively resolve field issues.u2022 Support development and review of construction schedules, look-aheads, critical path items, and sequencing strategies.u2022 Lead site logistics planning, including access/egress, material deliveries, site controls, shutdowns, and operational impacts.u2022 Monitor contractor performance, manpower, sequencing, and workmanship; escalate and drive corrective actions as needed.u2022 Review and manage RFIs, submittals, field changes, and technical clarifications to maintain project continuity.u2022 Validate weekly field progress against the contractoru2019s schedule and support recovery strategies when delays arise.u2022 Enforce safety, ICRA/PCRA requirements, environmental controls, and all site-specific compliance protocols.u2022 Conduct regular field walks to verify quality of installation, mock-ups, testing, commissioning, and system readiness.u2022 Coordinate inspections and compliance activities with HCAI, City agencies, IORs, and other authorities having jurisdiction.u2022 Lead and facilitate onsite coordination meetings and maintain strong relationships with contractors, designers, inspectors, and facility stakeholders.u2022 Provide documentation and reporting support, including daily logs, progress photos, cost/change validation, pay app verification, punch lists, commissioning, and closeout activities.Your role keeps our company connected and weu2019ll support you with what you need to be successful. Weu2019ll help you grow, pursue, and fulfill what inspires you - so we can make big impacts on the world, together. u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field or equivalent work experience.u2022 12+ years of hands-on construction management experience delivering complex projects - healthcare, lab, research, or similarly regulated environmentsu2022 Strong understanding of construction means and methods, sequencing, logistics, site controls, and safety requirements.u2022 Proven experience managing field coordination, daily oversight, quality assurance, and stakeholder communication on active construction sites.u2022 Familiarity with project management and construction tools (Procore, Bluebeam, P6, Unifier, etc.)Ideally, Youu2019ll Also Haveu2022 CCM, PMP, OSHA-30, DBIA, CM-Lean, or similar credentials (preferred but not required).u2022 Experience working in occupied environments, active healthcare or research campuses, and delivering complex tenant improvement projects.u2022 Prior experience serving in an Owneru2019s Representative capacity.#BIA#WestPMCMJacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
