Position Overview We are currently seeking a dedicated Dietary Manager to lead our food service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for directing, evaluating, and monitoring dietary staff, ensuring high-quality meal service and nutritional care for all residents. The Dietary Manager will oversee daily operations, maintain compliance with dietary regulations, and foster a positive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Oversee and manage day-to-day operations within the dietary department. Supervise, schedule, and evaluate food service employees, including hiring, training, and performance management. Ensure meals are prepared in accordance with planned menus, standardized recipes, and special diet orders. Review resident care plans to ensure dietary needs are met appropriately. Provide nutrition counseling in collaboration with the facility’s registered dietitian. Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local dietary regulations. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure smooth facility operations and optimal resident satisfaction. Conduct regular staff evaluations and issue disciplinary actions when necessary. Qualifications Previous long-term care experience required. Prior management or supervisory experience required. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills. ServSafe certification or Dietary Manager certification (CDM/CFPP) preferred.
