Sr. Accountant

Description Well established, dynamic growing company is looking for a highly motivated Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join their team The responsibilities of the Senior Accountant will include the following: u2022 Lead and participate in month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis u2022 Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with GAAP. u2022 Support audits by preparing lead schedules, documentation, and responses to auditor inquiries. u2022 Manage treasury functions, including daily cash positioning, cash forecasting, and optimizing working capital. u2022 Drive process improvements and support ERP and accounting system enhancements. u2022 Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, operations, and IT to ensure data accuracy and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Support due diligence in mergers and acquisitions being considered. u2022 Train key employees from acquired businesses on ERP and oversee implementation. u2022 Analyze financial trends and performance to provide actionable insight into leadership. u2022 Assist in KPI tracking and reporting, including use of tools such as Power BI Must have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, 5 of accounting experience and ERP experience. Requirements u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in a senior capacity. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and procedures. u2022 Proficiency in managing general ledger accounts and preparing journal entries. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in account and bank reconciliations. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. u2022 Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory compliance. u2022 Excellent organizational and analytical abilities. u2022 Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams.
