Job Description

As a Test Engineering Architect, you will work with our growingDevSecOpspracticedelivering quality assurance services to support application,cloudand data systems development.We are looking for candidates with 8-10years experiencewith experience with quality assuranceand test automation practices in an Agile/DevSecOpswork environment. You will act as both technical visionary andbe responsible forhands-on delivery. Responsibilities include:Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying this to developersDevelop test strategies, test plans, and implement testing solutions for large software programsMeet with product design team todeterminetesting parametersWrite test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, final QA reports for productsManage test data architecture definition and requestsTroubleshoot errors and streamline the test proceduresTesting and examining code written by others and analyzing results, including three or more of the following:Data validation testingFunctional testingPerformance and load testingUsability testingAccessibility (508) testingEstablishing?automated testing tools and infrastructure for test automationProvide validation testing of different system and data sets for cloud migrationsDevelop automated testing scripts considering parallelization and idempotencyAutomate and improve development, testing, deployment,?and release processesEnsuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threatsWorking with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intendedDocument as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations?Leverage virtualization and containerization tooptimizetesting software systemsWork with teams to bring continuous improvement toDevSecOpsprocesses and tools.Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services providedPresent regular status updates and provide cross training to other DevOps team members.Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team membersRequired:Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security ClearanceBS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience8+ Years of Experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, BitbucketExperience with Harness or Jenkins5 Years of Experience with one or more programming or scripting languages5 Years of applicationDevSecOpsExperience with actual/active development experience in an Agile environmentExperience utilizing docker containers andutilizingplatforms such as Kubernetes8 Years of Experience implementing test automation, using tools such asSelenium, Appium, Soap UI,RestAssured, Postman5 Years of Experience integrating test automation including performance, security, and functional tests into CI/CD Pipelines3 Years of Experience with performance and load testingPreferred:MS DegreeCertifications:CAST (CertifiedAssociate in SoftwareTesting)International Software Testing Qualifications Board (ISTQB) CertificationCertified Manager of Software Testing (CMST)DHS Trusted Tester Certification (TTv5)Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skillsExperience with documenting an as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations preferredSteampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $110,000 to $160,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
