Since 2009, our team has worked steadily to make this dream a reality. We’ve designed and tested many generations of prototype aircraft capable of serving in a network of electric air taxis. We’re looking for talented, committed individuals to join our team as we push onward toward certifying the Joby aircraft, scaling our manufacturing, and launching our initial commercial service.Joby Aviation is seeking an experienced motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Recruiter to join our team and play a key role in scaling our workforce during a pivotal stage of innovation and growth. This temporary role will be responsible for the full-cycle recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for technical positions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced setting, collaborating closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, attract top talent, and ensure a smooth, data-driven recruitment process. This role requires experience and an understanding of technical positions, strong interpersonal skills, and a passion for finding top talent.Collaborate with department heads and hiring managers to assess workforce needs, forecast hiring demands and build targeted talent pipelinesBuild and maintain a scalable recruiting strategy. Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts and offer negotiationsCreate and post compelling, accurate technical job descriptions aligned with team needsSource and screen candidates for a wide variety of roles across software, engineering, operations, aviation and manufacturing functionsConduct structured interviews and coordinate technical assessmentsFollow up with passive candidates and nurture long-term pipelines for hard-to-fill rolesProvide regular updates on recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, and hiring trendsRepresent Joby at industry events, tech conferences, and career meetupsBA/BS degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or similar field OR a high school diploma/GED and 10 years of relevant work experience or some combination thereofMinimum of 7 years of recruiting experienceProven ability to understand and communicate complex technical job requirementsExperience with applicant tracking systemsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHighly organized and adaptable in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentStrong sense of urgency and a proactive approach to problem-solvingExperience with iCIMS ATS systemBackground in aerospace, advanced manufacturing, high-tech or start-up industriesThis is a temporary role, anticipated to last 3-6 months. The target base pay for this position is $45-$60/hour. The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Joby is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
