Payroll Clerk

Description We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Clerk to join our team in Reseda, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for a large and diverse workforce in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a Contract position, offering an excellent opportunity to demonstrate your skills and grow within the organization. Responsibilities: u2022 Process weekly payroll for a workforce of approximately 1,100 employees, including hourly, salaried, and per diem staff. u2022 Manage payroll operations for a 24-hour nursing team, addressing shift schedules and pay differentials. u2022 Review, audit, and adjust timecards to ensure accuracy before payroll submission. u2022 Handle off-cycle payroll tasks such as adjustments, corrections, and issuing checks as needed. u2022 Calculate payroll components accurately, including benefits, deductions, and premiums. u2022 Address employee inquiries related to payroll and benefits promptly and professionally. u2022 Ensure compliance with labor laws, healthcare regulations, and internal policies. u2022 Collaborate with HR and management to resolve payroll discrepancies efficiently. u2022 Maintain detailed payroll records with a high degree of confidentiality and precision. Requirements u2022 Previous experience in healthcare payroll is mandatory. u2022 Proven ability to manage payroll for large employee groups is preferred. u2022 Solid understanding of shift work, pay differentials, and payroll audits. u2022 Proficiency with payroll systems such as Kronos and Oracle. u2022 Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. u2022 Exceptional communication and customer service abilities. u2022 Must be able to work onsite in Reseda, California and collaborate across departments. u2022 Familiarity with off-cycle payroll processing and garnishments is highly desirable.
