Job Title: Assembly Technician Job Description Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will be responsible for assembling and packaging essential products, including flashlight battery packs, first aid kits, survival kits, and demo bags for flight attendants. Your role will involve reading work orders, using production drawings, and operating various tools to ensure precise assembly. Responsibilities + Read work orders and follow production drawings to assemble panel parts. + Follow written and verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed. + Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) safely. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment. + Position and align parts in specified relationships using jigs or fixtures. + Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, or press fit parts to secure them in place. + Mount assembled components onto chassis panels. + Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases or external hardware. + Assemble and attach hardware such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches. Essential Skills + Experience with electronics, such as working with computers, phones, or gaming systems. + Proficiency in reading work orders, electrical assembly, and general production tasks. + Experience in soldering and machine operation. + Ability to perform electrical wiring tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Manual dexterity. + Attention to detail. + Effective communication skills. + Ability to interact with others in a manufacturing environment. + Problem-solving skills. + High school diploma or GED. The facility is static controlled, which may cause some humidity in parts of the plant, but it is manageable. Tasks are usually performed individually at a bench setting, with team leads or supervisors close by for support. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Aurora, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.35/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
