MIG Welder

Job Description As a Welder, you will perform welding tasks according to blueprint specifications, determining proper welds, callouts, and positions to complete projects efficiently. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel, ranging from 7 gauge to 1/4 inches. In addition to welding, you will assist with cutting, organizing, and staging materials, as well as fabricating parts, operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing parts. Responsibilities + Perform MIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel as per blueprint specifications. + Read and interpret detailed welding blueprints to complete tasks promptly. + Determine proper welds, callouts, and positions for each job. + Assist with cutting, organizing, and staging materials for other employees. + Fabricate parts by operating machines, grinding, cutting insulation, and finishing components. Essential Skills + Proficiency in MIG welding and blueprint reading. + Strong shop math skills. + Ability to fabricate as needed, including TIG and flux core welding. + Experience with tape measures and sheet metal work. + Knowledge of welding symbols and techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Welding experience or a relevant degree is required. + Preferred experience with blueprint and welding symbols. + A stable work history without frequent job changes.
