Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an Electro-Optical Laser Systems Engineer to join our team in Louisville, CO The selected candidate will lead endu2011tou2011end development of advanced laseru2011based optical hardware. This position requires handsu2011on laboratory verification and field testing of laser systemsu2014including wavefront control, passive and active sensing, and associated electronicsu2014while leading tradeu2011off analyses, setting engineering priorities, and maintaining rigorous configuration control. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Own requirements creation, flowu2011down, management and traceability - Define and manage systemu2011level interfaces - Drive and conduct design reviews - Produce clear technical artifacts such as specifications, ICDs, test plans, and interface control documents #LI-CS1 #SpaceOptical Basic Qualifications: u2022 Experience leading design reviews (such as SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.) u2022 Experience generating systems engineering artifacts and completing requirements decomposition u2022 Experience developing or working on laser or electro optic systems u2022 Experience leading technical teams u2022 Active TS or Q clearance; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/Poly clearance; US citizenship required Desired Skills: u2022 BS (or higher) in Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a closely related discipline u2022 Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams through concept development, risk analysis, and/or milestone achievement u2022 MS Degree or higher u2022 Strong project management skills (schedule development, risk registers, milestone reporting) u2022 Strong supplier management experience: evaluating, qualifying, and interfacing with multiple vendors on structural, thermal, electrical, optical subsystems u2022 Excellent technical communication skills (reports, presentations, design reviews) and ability to mentor junior engineers u2022 Knowledge of NASA STD 6016, ECSS, MIL STD 1540, or similar space standards u2022 Knowledge of adaptive optics systems for atmospheric correction and telescope integration u2022 Experience working on space or ground ISR systems. u2022 Experience in Class C/D, IRAD, or u201cgo-fastu201d development environment u2022 Experience identifying risks and working with the team to set priorities and stay focused on the most important objectives related to burning down the risks u2022 Experience across full program lifecycles on large or small programs, from initial development through mission or test operations and use u2022 Experience with Cameo or MBSE Modeling u2022 Active TS/SCI w/Poly clearance Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $118,700 - $209,300. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
