Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflightThis role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams, functions, and locations.The Corporate Development team is responsible for generating, managing and executing mergers and acquisitions, minority investments, and strategic partnerships, and supporting the execution of corporate growth initiatives. As part of this small team responsible for originating, executing, and supporting acquisitions, you'll work to elevate Blue Origin's worldwide deal-making profile.You will work closely with our business units to identify inorganic growth opportunities. You will support the senior leadership team by conducting industry research, investment analysis, due diligence, acquisition term sheets and contract negotiations, and both internal and external relationship building. In this role, you will be an entrepreneurial thinker who can make convincing, information-based arguments, demonstrating a strong bias for action.We are looking for someone to apply their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to positively impact safe human spaceflight. Passion for our mission and vision is requiredResponsibilities:Partner with executive leadership to evaluate and drive internal thinking on organic and inorganic growth opportunitiesIdentify appropriate opportunities which support Blue Origin's strategic priorities through interaction with senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, investment bankers, and organic pipeline generationAct as a subject matter expert on financial analysis, deal structuring, and valuationLead financial analysis, synergy forecasting, valuation and due diligence of potential acquisitionsLead cross-functional due diligence teams, including legal, finance & accounting, tax, human resources, operations, IT, sales, and strategyLead deal flow process from term sheet signature to integrationEvaluate opportunities and risks in potential transactionsPerform research, reporting and analysis on M&A activity in the industryPresent investment thesis memos and recommendations for all stages of the deal process (sourcing to integration planning)Build and maintain tools, analytics, and reporting to highlight performance measurementsIn addition, the Director of Corporate Development will be an independent thinker who can make convincing, information-based arguments. The selected candidate will be able to work across all business units, demonstrating a strong bias for action.
