This is a provisional appointment. Brief Job Description (essentialfunctions of the job): Under general supervision, interprets policies,rules and regulations. Responsibilities: Receives requests,instructions, or information pertaining to all aspects of the PermitApplication Payment Process for Inspectional Services. Investigatesreconciliation records, payment files, and other information resourcesto obtain necessary information for any requested reports. Classifiesinformation according to office procedures. Transfers and postsinformation to records. Sends, routes, and relays forms, materials, andinformation. Maintains files, filing, and typing of forms, memos,letters, and other materials. Processes forms, checking them foraccuracy and completeness. Answers and places telephone calls. Givesinformation to the general public. Performs related work as required.Minimum Entrance Qualifications: Applicant must have at least three (3)years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, office experience in anadministrative position. Ability to exercise good judgment and focus ondetails as required by the job. Familiarity with payment of the permitapplicant process and Permit Counter preferred. Working knowledge ofMicrosoft Word and Excel preferred. A multi-lingual candidate ispreferred. Applicants meeting the minimum entrance qualifications willbe considered for this position.
