Manager, Privacy Engineering

Summary: Meta is seeking a Manager, Privacy Engineering for our Compliance Assessment and Automation Team. Privacy Analysts on this team build data infrastructure to respond to regulatory inquiries and monitor the effectiveness of business-critical processes. They design and drive cross-functional privacy initiatives in support of Metau2019s compliance objectives. The Manager, Privacy Engineering supports these analysts by hiring and developing the skills of a healthy, high-performance team. They also build relationships with cross-functional partners, such as Product Managers, Engineering Managers, GRC, and Legal that help their team stay focused on Metau2019s most impactful work.We are looking for an experienced leader with a background in privacy, security, or data engineering, and a desire for supporting engineers in a fast-paced environment. They will also have experience with compliance and risk management, and working with partners across the company to find innovative ways to preserve the privacy of billions of users. Required Skills: Manager, Privacy Engineering Responsibilities: 1. Support a team of Privacy Analysts that build data pipelines and develop complex SQL queries to support Metau2019s compliance objectives 2. Partner with Privacy Leadership and engineering leaders across the company to drive the development of Key Control Indicators and support regulatory response activities 3. Provide leadership in developing and delivering innovative solutions to help enforce privacy practices with consistency and efficiency, at scale 4. Work closely with technical and non-technical teams, including Engineering, Product, and GRC 5. Develop a roadmap for future work, track progress against it, and evaluate the teamu2019s performance Minimum Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: 6. BS in Computer Science or equivalent technical field of study, or equivalent industry experience 7. 8+ years of work experience in data engineering, software engineering, or privacy/security engineering, including 3+ years of hands-on management of engineers and/or engineering managers 8. Experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management 9. Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders across multiple disciplines 10. Coding experience in at least one programming language Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: 11. Experience running operational teams 12. Experience communicating highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences 13. Experience with Data Engineering (e.g., Data Pipeline Development, ETL, etc.) 14.
